- I can scarcely describe the joy of watching Back to the Future. Perfection in a film.
- Would be nice to hear more media narrative about the fact that 20 years ago, United were plundered solely in order to benefit one already incredibly wealthy family. We knew then it would be a disaster; we just didn’t know how long it would take. Utterly shameful that it was allowed to happen.
- Thank you to @nqatpod.bsky.social for the excellent discussion about the impact of cutting staff on organisations (around 40m in) ie cutting isn’t always commercially sensible. This is in the context of a football club, but it’s important listening for all of us. open.spotify.com/episode/7lVC...
- Last time we lost the Europa League Final, I’d just worked 50 hour weeks for months & months; left work at 8pm on the day of the Final to watch us lose on penalties; got up at 6am to get back to work early; & anti-United songs were chanted at me in a random lift. Still, I think I feel worse today.
- I’m delighted to be delivering a workshop for @gem.org.uk to help freelancers develop a practice that supports their wellbeing. 2 July, online. Bookings are open now. Hope to see you there! gem.org.uk/event/freela...
- Feeling physically sick every time I think about the Europa League final. Watching on TV, feeling powerless to do anything, will be pure hell. Get into football, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.
- This was a highlight of the year so far. What a privilege to meet such talented students - they are going to have stellar careers! Thank you for the invite, @1000plateaus.bsky.social
- Never in doubt 😅😅😅 Played lads!
- The irony of spending my professional life talking about how to avoid stress and burnout AND being a fan of Manchester United is not lost on me
- Loud birdsong has woken me up at 5am three days on a row and it’s starting to feel personal
- Sorry, but I believe it’s May tomorrow and I’m not sure how this has happened?

- An uplifting evening with a truly joyous person
- Listen. Speak out. Show you care.
- I’d add Croydon Clocktower cafe to this list. A great family-run, community cafe; chill place to work or meet friends; and excellent value for money: www.instagram.com/clock.tower.... Which other museum cafes would you recommend? www.theguardian.com/culture/2025...
- I’m still feeling the effects of heavy sedation after a hospital procedure yesterday…. and given the news, I think that’s the best way to be.
- It was 5pm and he was most displeased I had not immediately switched off the laptop. (To be fair, you have to admire his strong work/life boundaries).
