Liberal "communists" are something else. I've seen several liberal "communist" Stancil shooters on this hellsite today for example. Thing is, I have some good friends that are essentially this, and they're... fine, but y'all need to not argue politics online. That's not for you. You look very silly

Here I don't mean communists with some liberal tendencies, or those who just haven't quite gotten over their obsession with electoralism, etc, but the people who are just straight-up liberals but fancy calling themselves "communists" for who knows what incoherent idealistic reason

(Clarification is necessary because the usual definition of "liberal" is, of course, "pretty much anyone who disagrees with me")

While I'm just typing away about nothing in bed because bedtime is authoritarian, I think this is a thing because of a few things at play in the liberal mind: - words don't mean much to begin with (a very handy thing about idealism) - history never moves - extreme individualism

So, to them it's perfectly valid to just vibes up their own nebulous definition of "communism", and appoint themselves its authority. This can be backed up if necessary by digging some crap out of the 1800's trash bin, and the fact that lines have long been drawn around these meanings doesn't matter

This process has been going on for a long time, as anyone who's read anything from more than a few decades ago knows. Long ago, "social democracy" was communism, at this point, we've more or less ceded "socialism" to them (though it retains its meaning in a Marxist context), but it's never enough

So now, they're coming for the big one. The "c" word. Simultaneously their ultimate political slur, and something they want for themselves. It's in their nature to appropriate anything and everything. They will not rest until it's impossible to distinguish ourselves from them at all

Capitalism subsumes all criticism, it will even take language itself. No genuine criticism is permitted to exist. If a political identity inherently challenges it, then liberals will try to appropriate not only that political identity, but the very word for it
