We at GA Equality honor those who were taken too soon by HIV by continuing to fight for the rights of those living with HIV & for their access to care.

- Happening this weekend! Join the Dreaming Justice Project for Trans*cend: Living Art of the Trans Body. Join us on Sunday for a reminder that trans lives are not only marked by loss but by brilliance, creativity, & a desire to create beauty in a world that does not always make room for us.
- Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance & Resilience, a day dedicated to honoring the lives of our trans siblings who were lost due to anti-trans violence, discrimination, & stigma. Every year, we honor a list of names that grows longer due to an increase in anti-trans rhetoric which fuels violence
- Behind every name is a person, a story, & a life cut too short. This year, GA Equality's organizing manager, Noël Heatherland, wrote about TDORR & reflected on one life cut too short– Marisol Payero, a trans advocate & KSU student leader who passed recently. - This Transgender Awareness Week, we're spotlighting the “Here We Are” ad campaign in GA with @glaad.bsky.social & GROUND Media. “Here We Are” is a truth-telling campaign that shares real stories of trans people to combat misinfo, increase visibility, & inspire empathy & allyship. bit.ly/3JLOJn3
- We know that voters who personally know a trans person are significantly more likely to be supportive on trans issues. That’s why it’s so important to counter rampant fear-mongering & misinfo with real stories of real trans people; because it’s the most effective way of changing hearts & minds. 🩷
