- I'll have to check, and if not, venture back into the deep recesses of my twitter feed.
- Just yesterday, in undergrad Freud & Jung, we were discussing Freud's argument on the ultimate societal degradation resulting from relying on religion rather than logic as the basis for establishing morality. I suspect, though, that this dude's notion of "morality" and my own differ substantially.

- 100% agree. Go hang out in TO, Steve; at least now I usually forget he exists.
- As a distraction from The Horrors: this entire thread.
- If @mayormarksutcliffe.bsky.social at least used transit himself to get to and from City Hall it would go a long way to engendering goodwill. I happen to know his transit-reliant neighbour; it's a five minute walk to the train. He has no excuse. He just likes cars.
- Since the mayor is making people come back into the office, I would add @mayormarksutcliffe.bsky.social + make it more realistic: so drop-off is further west/south (Barrahaven, Kanata), and then add a time constraint, e.g., arrive by 9 am, since you typically have to get somewhere by a certain time.

- I had to check that you aren't in Ottawa. Transit here has been...interesting.
- If you have been sick to your stomach and feel like you will be again, do not ask to speak to me and then whisper and lean in to tell me this. DO NOT SPEAK MOISTLY ON ME, PUKERS.
- Do not hire. Do not collaborate. Do not take classes with. Do not grant funds to. Do not put on conference panels. Do not publish. Either we care about this as a profession or we don't.
- I'd go so far as to say refrain from citing. It can be tricky, but I've managed to avoid citing Turner's work on ritual. We need to collectively decide that those who exploit and harm deserve to be forgotten. If the academy is a trans-temporal conversation, they no longer get to participate.
