- The Church of Stop Shopping seek to disrupt the shopping / consumer process by drawing upon actions and performance with markers more commonly associated with, or assumed to be, religious preachers (specifically Protestant Christian). #IR47
- This includes the wearing of clerical symbols, 'praying', and a version of the stations of the cross in which Minnie Mouse performs the permanently smiling facsimile of Christ, that is strongly reminiscent of Catherine Bell's ritualization. #IR47
