Btw, I don’t agree with all the points made by the paper that Mongabay covers. For instance, I think it’s very problematic that the paper suggests prioritizing conservation in biodiversity-rich areas in the Global South, given that conservation also comes at a cost

Rather, I would think, we need to drastically reduce consumption in the Global North alongside environmental action. Without attending to ecologically unequal trade relations there is no scope for environmental justice here
