- I don't know how it's possible that I made it to work on time today when I left a full fifteen minutes late. I'm dumbfounded. I do have to thank my crossover for the fact that I was able to park where I did, maneuvering over some snow.

- "Dance is a vertical expression of horizontal intentions."
- My 8yo is discovering "age gap" relationships. She's reading a book about King Henry VIII's wives and is appalled by the fact that some of his later wives weren't even born when he was married to his first wife. And that Katherine Howard was younger than his daughter Mary.
- My sister-in-law has the flu and, for some reason, this has prompted her to start texting me to discuss flu shots. The weird thing is that... we don't text each other unless it's like to make plans for someone's birthday or the holidays. We don't chit chat, we don't catch up. Maybe she's just bored.
- That printer I just fixed should definitely count as a work out because I spent an hour and a half sweating and circling it.
- Despite being late this morning, I am feeling rather productive now. Got my lesson plans sorted through Monday. Everything on the tech support list has been at least started and is in progress.
- I'm surprised that no one took a shot at this. I'll give you a hint - take a careful look at the license plate.
- I hate being late, but it happens almost every week. Especially on Thursdays when I have a first-period class. I need to get across a two-mile bridge to get to work, and it took me 25 minutes today to get across it. I could have walked it faster.
- Saw this specimen in front of me on the street today. Let me know when you see it.
- A hot and spicy tale of a babysitter who accompanies a couple with kids on their vacation. She might be watching the kids during the day, but at night, she gets an eyeful of the parents. jordanlubov.substack.com/p/a-differen...
- Kylie knelt on the bed, facing the camera, and smiled, rubbing a hand over her inflated belly. She was really showing now, and it was getting some real attention from her followers. medium.com/agencymagazi...
- Check out this story with a main character that might rub you the wrong way. He's rude and off-putting and I enjoyed writing him. medium.com/agencymagazi...
- I hate this phase of having a cold - the post-nasal drip. I couldn't sleep last night with the way it kept irritating my throat. I'm exhausted and my throat is on fire.
- Hubs and I got a card from the college we went to, wishing us a Happy Valentine's Day, as an alumni couple. Hehe. I feel like it's the first time we've gotten one, even though we've been "an alumni couple" for over a decade. Still weird to think of that though, cause we didn't date while in college.

- What was the highlight of your day today? Mine? Probably snuggling on the sofa with my 8yo while she plays games on her tablet, then randomly declares, "You're the best mommy ever," apropos of nothing. Hehehe.
- I do tech support at my school, and when I need help, I put in a ticket with city-wide support. Of course, someone showed up yesterday, while I was absent, to fix a printer and just left cause I wasn't there. Even though he damn well knew which room the issue was in, and I wasn't needed.
- The dishwasher needs a new pump. Because taking a fall last week and hurting myself, and getting a cold were just not enough for the universe.
- On today's episode of unwarranted anxiety, an appliance repairman is coming to look at our dishwasher, and I'm on edge about talking to a stranger.
- Your finger traces up the top of my foot towards my ankle, firm enough to feel relaxing. I tip my head back, enjoying the feeling. Then your lips seem to replace your fingers, and I look back down at you. “You’re getting a bit carried away there, sweetie.” medium.com/agencymagazi...
- I can't break the habit of feeling guilty for every sick day I take. Especially if I'm not going to go see a doctor for it, like an upset stomach or a cold. I keep telling myself that nothing's at stake, my job is secure, but I still worry, "Am I sick enough to stay home?"
- Green gummy bears are strawberry. Red ones are raspberry.
- Well, look at that! I actually got on the board the very first day of the month, hehehe.
- This day was off to a pretty good start, despite my stomach trouble overnight. I was getting shit done. Now, the dishwasher is leaking water underneath, and I'm coming down with a cold, and hubs is in a blind rage over the state of our kitchen.
- Jenny has a plan to seduce her mother’s boyfriend and she’s not giving up easily. open.substack.com/pub/jordanlu...
- Troy has the perfect opportunity to score with two girls at the same time. He should be psyched about this, but for some reason, he feels more guilty than excited. He doesn’t want to share his girlfriend Janelle, not even with another woman. medium.com/agencymagazi...
- Chris rents an apartment over her parents’ garage. He’s attractive and friendly, and Maxine has decided to make him her first. No feelings, no commitments, just a deal to show her the ropes. a.co/d/1BXBeTb
- First review has posted! It took me a while to get to writing this one, but I definitely enjoyed @loganblack.bsky.social 's book She Looked Good In Pearls. a.co/d/eGAd9As
- I wrote two reviews today, one for a book I finished in January and one for a book I read last year. Forgot to take screenshots, though, so I'll post them once they actually show up on the Amazon page.

- I feel pretty happy with my writing/reading accomplishments this month. I finished reading a book and started a second one; I finished listening to a book and started a second one; I wrote every day of the month. In February, I hope to finish editing a book and publish it.
- Nothing works better to motivate than actually accomplishing goals. When you see yourself succeeding, it makes you want to do more and add to that success. It feels attainable. Of course, on the reverse side, when you can't accomplish one thing, it makes you feel like giving up.
- I did quite well in January as far as writing every day and averaging nearly 1,000 words a day (I fell just a little short of that.) But I still see this as a win and an accomplishment. Almost 28K words in January 2026.
- A large part of parenthood is just finding things around the house and asking, "Where did this come from?!" and "What the hell is this?!"
- I really need to finish this story and get it ready to go out tomorrow. Because tomorrow starts a new month and I need to keep the ball rolling.
- My oldest had a dance competition today and, based on facebook posts, I knew a former middle school classmate of mine would be there too, with her daughter. We haven't seen each other in 30+ years! We spoke for 5 minutes and I've spent an hour now overanalyzing everything I said.
- Paid a visit to an urgent care this afternoon after work cause I've had chest pains for the past 2 days. I figured it was from my fall the other day when I somehow jammed a fist into my chest, bruising my boob, but just wanted to check. Heart and lungs are both fine. Just a bruised sternum.
- This is a #dailydoodle I've been working on at work for a couple of weeks. I like the way it turned out.
- I had a dream last night that I was trying to seat myself inside a microwave and keep the light on without cooking myself.
