another blue dot...endangered species: liberal Democrat. MAGA has taken away optimism.
- Inasmuch as USA athletes' victories in the Olympics will be celebrated by Trump and his sycophant Republicans, I wish them well but I can't watch and I certainly can't cheer.
- Why do people need their work cut out for them? Why can't they cut out their own work?

- I don't think I can watch the Olympics...victories by Americans will be used to celebrate the USA but there is nothing to celebrate. The IOC should refuse to allow US athletes to compete under the American flag. They should be forced to compete under the Olympic flag, like the Russians.
- The US will never heal until Republicans view Democrats as opponents rather than enemies. But since the GOP is rewarded with power by having enemies, the GOP will never change and the US will never heal.
- Reminder: Amendment 1 says CONGRESS shall make no law. It doesn't say POTUS shall issue no order nor that the AG shall make no directive. And don't think Trump and Bondi don't know this.
- I can't help thinking if Bezos owned WaPo in the 70s, Woodward and Bernstein's story would never have been published and Nixon would have served 2 full terms.

- I don't get this obsession with Georgia 2020 ballots. GA only has 16 electoral votes; give those to Trump and Biden still has 390, leaving Trump 22 votes short. The raid on Fulton County must be a preemptive strike for November.
- State prosecutors can bring charges against federal agents who commit crimes within the state's borders. Only problem is, they can't identify the perpetrators--no visual evidence, no IDs. Think it's a coincidence these thugs are masked and not badged? They were "well-advised." Prob. by Miller.
- Here's a thought: Tell ICE agents they are now required to wear masks to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Watch how fast those masks come off.
- There is no recovery, no going back from this administration's assault on democracy, on the citizens. Unless you can "pay to play" you aren't safe, have no value. The only real solution is secession. Let's see how Trump and the red states fare without CA and NY, not to mention the other blue states.
