- Reposted by Devika DuttIt’s out! I’m deeply proud and grateful for this book — especially for the chance to collaborate with such brilliant & bold minds. Here’s to hoping its ideas spark fresh conversations and inspire meaningful change in our field. #economics #eurocentrism #decolonisation
- Economics obscures or is oblivious to the politics embedded in theorization itself. In this book, @devikadutt.bsky.social, @cacrisalves.bsky.social, @surbhikesar.bsky.social & @ingridhk.bsky.social return political questions to the heart of economic theorizing. See more: www.politybooks.com/...
- Our book is out and available for purchase in the U.K. Writing this book with @cacrisalves.bsky.social @surbhikesar.bsky.social & @ingridhk.bsky.social was a long and arduous process that has arguably changed us all, and we’d be honoured for y’all to read it!

- Reposted by Devika DuttJust seeing the RCT 'scandal' brewing among econs again. This is not a question about some bad apples or some instances of malpractice. The RCT industry has been completely distorted from its inception in Econ and this is closely tied to the incentive structure of the discipline.

- It’s absolutely fascinating to witness the meltdown amongst allegedly progressive econ policy wonks if you suggest that whipping up a simplistic nationalist narrative to justify public investment is maybe not such a good idea when we are dealing with the rise of the far right everywhere
- This Wednesday, join us for the third seminar in our Interrogating Development Seminar Series this term at King’s College London, with Isabelle Guérin about her new book, “The Indebted Woman”, feat. - Reposted by Devika DuttHere's our commentary on how the 2024 Economics Nobel integrates colonialism into economics, while leaving a colonial worldview intact (w/ @surbhikesar.bsky.social & @devikadutt.bsky.social). To explain how & why they do this, we go back to the colonial origins of Econ. www.epw.in/journal/2024...
- Here’s why @ingridhk.bsky.social, @surbhikesar.bsky.social, and I think that the 2024 Economics ‘Nobel’ winning framework of understanding how institutions are formed and affect prosperity is Eurocentric, ahistorical, and wrong www.epw.in/journal/2024...

- One our (@ingridhk.bsky.social and my) students asked us today, what came of the RCTs that caused scandal & uproar due to problematic ethics? Turns out 2 out of 3 of the examples we considered are now published in the QJE, a Top 5 Econ journal🫠 so much for accountability and change
