Denial
A glib version of myself I neither like nor understand.
- I can see the flickers.
- I'm resigned to my life of being Out of Date and Never Watching New Shows but damn, am I enjoying watching Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood with two of my sons, at their recommendation (they had started reading the manga at library). Chills.
- Reposted by Denialworth noting that the second rich people stopped being afraid of mobs tearing them limb from limb, they stopped building libraries and opera houses and stuff and started ripping the copper wiring out of the walls of society instead
- King (and Queen) of the Hill #ducks #falsespring
- Ouch. Nostalgia bite. One of my favourite albums; this song comes on and I'm a teenager riding in the cramped back of an S10 pickup from the farm to the mall, looking forward to some Neo Geo Samurai Showdown or Pit Fighter arcade time... #kingsx
- Forget guillotines - there aren't near enough millstones around necks and those people being thrown into the sea...(Bonus: It's Biblical! Everyone can enjoy it!)
- A pause still comes over the entire family (10, 13, 16, 18, Us) when this song shuffles on, then either everyone is bugging out to the beat, singing along, or quietly listening and standing up just little straighter, with a bit more resolve than moments before. Amazing album.
- I don't wanna speak too soon but I think I may have finally correctly adjusted the low and high on my large chainsaw. What a day.
- Found two peanut butter filled pretzels in the pocket of my after-work hoodie so the evening is really looking up.
- I wonder if ninja are mad at ICE for giving face coverings a bad name.
- Little change of pace here.
- Fits. Sits.
- No more wait and see.
- "People may be too safe. You see we live at the end of a series of secure generations in which none of the great things of life have changed materially. We've grown up with no sense of danger—that is to say, with no sense of responsibility. None of us, none of us...

- Although I literally had a very ::ahem:: challenging discussion with a colleague this week who insisted that 45-47 is only "talking" and nothing has changed, so Carney is actually the one being divisive by breaking from the US. We have a special, special bubble here in Canada as well, sadly.
- Going through a Jon Spencer and Dub Narcotic Sound System renaissance here.
- An incredible article. I actually see so many parallels with Carney's speech, or more truthfully couldn't stop thinking about religious parallels during his Davos speech...

- "there is hope but no heart can touch it unless it's traded wants, for others needs" Listener/Dan Smith/Dancemyth at the top of the charts again right now. I think of it multiple times a day. Save up your hopes, friends.

- You know what, here's the deal: If he can hike, unassisted, to a designated central space in Greenland from the closest coastal airfield, without collapsing, he can have it.

- In term 45 I wondered if Repub. could invoke the 25th as a way to turn on him, create distance. Now? I don't think it ever will be. There's no recent point where it "happened", only a slow train with everyone "all aboard"; an admission that he always was this way, and they followed him anyway.
- This is pretty messed up. Trump. Has. Dementia. #25thAmendment
- Reposted by DenialThe Nobel Peace Prize becoming so prestigious that wars are fought over a head of state coveting it is some real monkey paw stuff for Alfred Nobel.
- Logged in only to find out about The Board of Peace and now I might not ever stop screaming. Logging off.
- Reposted by DenialThe absolute accuracy of this.
- Sigh. One of my favourite books, and this new cover is, sadly, just... sort of okay? Meh. Could we please just get the Portuguese covers on English versions? :)
- I'm going to need one long lid to cover all the nozzles at once, or 16 individual keyed lids so they don't get mixed up.
