We're paying $130/month for 1 Gig internet service and our provider's website says they're offering $60/month FOR LIFE for 1.5 Gig--but only for new customers.
I called and they said best they could do was $110/month for 12-months. Yeah, no. They said they'd call me back but I doubt they will.
Yeahhhh I hate it when companies pull this shit.
I manage my elderly parents ISP crap and its a nightmare to deal with every 2 years.
I just reviewed my own after just forgetting about it, paying for 1GB/s.. same price should be on 2GB/s.

Yesh… the every 12-month promo thing is annoying but expected. I also noticed we’re paying a $20/month (!) fee for their “new infrastructure.” Fts!

In the UK its not even that problematic.
You can cancel, rejoin same day, like nothing happened, discounts and 'new user' benefits intact.
Or has been so far at least over the past decade, its honestly the dumbest system in place that I deal with 🤣
