- Congratulations to our @tukleincollege.bsky.social alum @willyip.bsky.social on winning a Grammy! www.inquirer.com/entertainmen...
- Reposted by David BoardmanIn his episode on “How to Prevent and Treat Colds and Flu”, he describes why he doesn’t typically get the annual shot while stating “the flu shot is completely ineffective at combatting any other forms of the flu virus”—that’s false as even in cases of mismatch, the vax protects against hosp/death.
- Reposted by David BoardmanIn response to announcement that he will be a new CBS contributor, Andrew Huberman tweeted “I’ve always gone issue-by-issue on health & science, spoken to experts w/a range of takes & presented where I see the center of (data) mass pointed. I’ll do the same with @CBSNews”. In Sept he posted this:
- Outstanding work by @danabash.bsky.social.
- Reposted by David BoardmanSo important. What they say is not the story. That is never the story. What happened is the story. Write what happened.

- Hey, Bari Weiss, we still have room in our first-year journalism classes, where you can learn what true journalism really should be. What it should not be is this:
- Reposted by David BoardmanThis morning, the FBI executed a search warrant at a @washingtonpost.com reporter’s home. @rcfp.org President Bruce D. Brown called it “a tremendous escalation in the administration’s intrusions into the independence of the press.” Read his full statement: www.rcfp.org/fbi-search-w...
- Reposted by David BoardmanA clear and appalling sign that this administration will set no limits on its acts of aggression against an independent press. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...
- I see Cillizza is auditioning for CBS News.

- For those (like I) who were waiting to judge @dokoupil.bsky.social's fitness to anchor the @cbseveningnews.bsky.social, you can stop waiting: www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
- Reposted by David BoardmanA CBS News staffer told me this after Tony Dokoupil kicked off his CBS Evening News tenure tonight with a lengthy Pete Hegseth interview: "If this is what Bari and Tony’s CBS Evening News is going to look like, then the we may as well just call ourselves Trump Administration State TV. Pathetic."
- Reposted by David BoardmanThis is absolutely on point
- In the early hours of this test, @cnn.com is showing poorly. Its focus on the logistics of the military operation is sorely misplaced. In the decades to come, few will care about how the U.S. invaded Venezuela, but rather why it did, under what authorization it did, and what was to follow.
- The next 48 hours will be a powerful litmus test of the health, vitality and courage of the American news media. Please, as the citizens those journalists and their outlets purport to serve, watch carefully.

- Hey, @CNN.com, just because the White House uses the made-up term “narcoterrorist” doesn’t mean you have to.

- Please, please, please, @nytimes.com: More newsy, less Nuzzi.
- Reposted by David BoardmanMany thanks to amazing colleagues who graciously provided endorsements for #ContentConfusion: @profsanderlinden.bsky.social, @victorpickard.bsky.social, & @dboardman.bsky.social. Your support means a lot & has truly helped amplify the reach of this book. I’m grateful for your belief in the work!
- This is the U.S. Department of Labor’s new social-media campaign. Notice anything?

- Did one of the largest protests in the history of the United States happen yesterday? You might not know it from today’s printed @nytimes.com, which had nothing above the fold, a small teaser below and a story buried on Page 23.
- Reposted by David BoardmanHappening now in war ravaged Portland: the city's Parks and Recreation Department (the most subversive of all government entities, is giving away trees.
- Reposted by David BoardmanTaken just a few minutes ago outside the ICE facility in Portland that Trump claims is under siege. My message to Donald Trump is this: we don’t need you here. Stay the hell out of our city.

- If there was any doubt that the deployment of troops is to foment violence, not prevent it, this ploy from Trump should dispel that. Portland’s crime has been plummeting. But it’s also a city that won’t stand by quietly, and protests will likely turn violent. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
- Thank you, Dear Leader, for protecting us from this clear and present danger. I stand in awe of your infinite wisdom. Covfefe! www.nytimes.com/2025/09/26/u...
- I am confident that the @nytimes.com and its courageous publisher, unlike @cbs.com, will not back down in response to this frivolous lawsuit by President Trump. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/16/b...
- The @wsj.com owes the nation an apology for its irresponsible reporting after the Charlie Kirk shooting. In the effort for a scoop, the Journal’s indication that the shooter was tied to transgender causes --since discredited—fueled hateful vitriol and further eroded trust in media.

- Of the many big @washingtonpost.com departures, the exit of @carolleonnig.bsky.social is one of the biggest. The Will Lewis Era to this point is nothing short of heartbreaking for those of us who care about journalism and democracy.
- Sign him. Now.
- Another talented journalist leaves @washingtonpost.com.
- Reposted by David BoardmanHoman: "People need to understand ICE officers and Border Patrol don't need probable cause to walk up to somebody, briefly detain them, and question them ... based on their physical appearance."

- Whoa. Hey, @nytimes.com, get ready for a river of résumés.
- The man most hailed as the greatest mayor in New York's history, Fiorello LaGuardia, was the son of immigrants.
- ICE is masking the truth about why its officers wear masks. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
- This is truly outstanding journalism from a surprising source: @militarydotcom.bsky.social. www.military.com/daily-news/2...
- This is pure gold.
- There is no denying that the @jaketapper.bsky.social/ @alexthompson.bsky.social book “Original Sin” is revelatory. But the emerging theme among Beltway journos, expressed by @politico today, that the Biden cover-up will be a major issue for voters in ‘28, is absurd and a reflection of DC myopia.
- Reposted by David Boardmansay it again: 4 million people work in higher ed, the largest employer in 10 states, second largest employer in 10 more, and in 60 of the 100 biggest cities ROI for NIH and NSF for local economies is conservatively 4x, often close to 10x demolishing higher education is economic sabotage

- Truly shocking. Shameful.
- Reposted by David BoardmanFor all of you whose vote was manipulated by mass media & politicians scaring you into believing you’ve never been less safe, the *2024 crime rate was the lowest in record since 1961.*
- Just when you thought the White House press operation couldn't go any lower, this, from @nytimes.com: “White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt declined to comment, writing in an email, ‘As a matter of policy, we do not respond to reporters with pronouns in their bios.’”
