Oh, and for everyone who has ever brought it up, I was able to speak with some people in my cat club about freely licensing my cat art push my local cat clubs away from using AI artwork.
Please don't complain to me, personally, when you see it being used. I'm trying to lose money to stop it.👍
This might seem like a weird post, but every single time I've said I'm at a cat show and share the often AI generated info posters I have zero creative involvement in, I get talked down to as if I have never been incredibly vocal against AI usage. It's a difficult fight amongst non-artists.
Why aren’t they just organizing a photo contest to nominate a cat in their community as the face of the event? Feels like it would engage people better than any slop kitten
Feb 2, 2026 19:35I say this with kindness, but part of why I'm having to offer to FREELY LICENSE HUNDREDS OF PIECES OF MY WORK is because I'm frankly exhausted at everyone loudly asking ~>me<~ why an organization, run by offline folks on tight budgets with no idea artistic folk hate AI, isnt doing X Y Z differently.
