Okay I think I have talked myself into liking the Anthony Davis trade for the Wizards.
-they gave up no real assets for him.
-he barely plays this year, so the tank is still on.
-So this is the equivalent of using their offseason cap space to sign him to a two-year max contract.

I prefer that to chasing Robinson or Hartenstein this summer and massively overpaying them on a longer contract.
The free agent market just doesn’t look all that enticing.
If AD stays hurt, you don’t resign him. If he returns to form, you either have a core piece or you trade him at huge upside.
