While ICE was viewed favorably by +13-point margin at the beginning of Trump’s second term, it is now viewed unfavorably by a -9-point margin.
A majority of voters (55%) say that increased ICE spending is a bad use of taxpayer money — including 62% of Independents.
Voters are not entirely sure what the phrase “Abolish ICE” means.
While 42% of voters think that “Abolish ICE” means fully eliminating ICE and all of its functions, a majority think it means either reallocating its functions or replacing it with a new agency.
