Another GOP lawmaker quits: Nevada's sole Republican congressman announces retirement. On Friday Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV), the only Republican representing NV in Congress, said he would not seek re-election. Amodei's district spans the northern part of Nevada, Reno, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe area.
