- Let me be clear, Julia makes good books. But an undeniable amount of these sales is also down to the way her books are literally given their own separate shelves and signage in EVERY high street bookstore in the country. These kind of numbers are bound to happen in that kinda set up.
- Again, this is not a shot at Julia’s books. My issue is with the way books are marketed in this industry, and to what extent these kinda sales are manufactured and engineered by high street bookstores. The shelf space and visibility will always be limited if this is the only way things are done.
- All the violations to his memory that this brings to mind aside…I find myself increasingly seething at how our nostalgia continues to be exploited for profit and to pacify and distract us, while our very rights are stripped away bit by bit.

- Drew the big blue boy scout for the first time last night while chopping it up with @studiohoffmann.bsky.social 🤓 Managed to sneak out to watch the movie this morning. Not a perfect movie, but most definitely a fun watch. Worth the cinema ticket. 😊
- I get a lot of folks asking why, as a Brit, I’m always looking at American politics. Simple really, anything America does/is going, can almost certainly be used as a clear indicator of the direction the UK government plans to head in next.
