Another entry for
#ForestFriday, this one along the
#PacificCrestTrail in southern
#California, north of Warner Springs in northern San Diego county. The trees are often a light and airy green here, nicely enhanced by sun splashes.
#EastCoastKin #landscapephotography #hiking #outdoors #landscapeI’m familiar with that area, my brother lives in Warner Springs.
The Manzanita trees in that particular area and elevation seem to be bigger, redder and generally more spectacular than elsewhere!
Great photo Tramonte 👏🙏!
Like many places around there, I really enjoy that place. Warner valley is so huge and beautiful, seen from the view platform coming down from Palomar, & the lake. Plus so much great hiking in all directions, and Julian pies a short diversion away. Your family have sure staked out some nice places!
Any travel near Julian requires a stop for apple pie!
Julian Pie Company sells fresh pies at my local independent market year round!
I love the naturally sweet, no sugar added apple pie 🥧🤗!
We’re partial to the Dutch Apple Julian Pies offers, and somehow manage to buy them for special occasions.
Dutch apple is my favorite also. But stopping and getting a few different kinds by the slice down at the Santa Ysabel junction works too!
I’ll admit to having stopped at Dudley’s Bakery on more than one occasion. Hiking is hungry work! 😉
Ooohhhh😍 Dudley’s
Baja Jalapeño bread😱!
Yes! Have you tried it with a little prickly pear jelly? Delicious!
No, but it sounds good!
My favorite is fresh albacore tuna salad with additional pickled jalapeños on the side.
For some reason, that bread makes it perfect!
Wow! Sounds like time for a road trip!
