- dear gitkraken: what the fuck did you do love to click on a UI element and have it take literally a solid minute to respond I notice you added AI commit messages, if that's why this shit is so slow I'm going to [REDACTED]
- I want to push one (1) very tiny change to one of my repos and I have been waiting for gitkraken to stop updating, showing me patch notes, asking if I want AI, and then actually opening the repo for twenty solid minutes now. I pay money for this to be convenient. What the fuck is this.
- Finally got to the "push" button and the shit is uploading like it's on the only dialup modem ever made with a baud you communicate with the fingers on one hand
- OH BOY github.com/cfinke/EpsteIn
- Ah, apparently it takes up to 24 hours to get your data from LinkedIn. I'll have to try this tomorrow.
- If you want to know how hot it was here last week, here are some sodas that I accidentally left in the car. Thankfully they were sugar free and my upholstery is black.
- This really speaks to something I was trying to express in a friendly argument with a person who is way into AI music generation recently. It's not the quality of the output that makes it suck, it's the fact that you're skipping over the entire creative process. www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8dc...
- It's a process that teaches you technical skills, self-reflection, bravery, independence, patience, and so many other things that you need to be the best person you can be.
- Skipping that process and just going to the product is like taking a helicopter to the top of Everest and saying that you climbed it. Congrats on the view but you missed the whole fucking point. You just hit fast forward and skipped over one of the most profoundly human experiences available to us.
- A Russian-American expat friend told me yesterday that the running joke among the expat community in the USA is "I always said I wanted to live in a Russia without Putin, and now I do."
- I mean I’ve been backed up before but 32 YEARS?!?!?
- Green Day released ‘Dookie’ 32 years ago on February 1, 1994 album.ink/GDDookie
- Weird, Australia doesn’t seem interested in the US state propaganda film director by one of Epstein’s besties www.abc.net.au/news/2026-01...
- I think bluesky needs these photos from the day we kidnapped George (aka G Unit aka Baby G aka Baby Genius aka Orange Baby Jesus) from behind a konbini in Okinawa. Literally sleeping on a cinderblock like some Disney adaption of a Dickens novel. Five years ago last week!
- And now some highlights from recent years:

- A new phenomenon seems to have arisen in Australia over the past few months. Now when they clock my accent and realize I'm originally from the USA, the first question I get from people is "Do you miss it?" or "Do you go back often?"
- These seem like innocuous questions, but what they're really asking is whether you support what's going on over there right now.
- As long as you very emphatically answer something along the lines of "NOT RIGHT FUCKING NOW I DON'T" they visibly relax and then you have a grand old time talking about how screwed up everything is.
