This follows backlash from artists after SDCC initially indicated AI-generated work would be permitted
Jan 14, 2026 22:45Honestly this saves their own event in the long run. If grifters can generate infinite zero-effort prints and comics, the medium as a whole and by extension the conventions lose a lot of revenue when the audience stops feeling the need to pay attention or spend money.
