Folks who have academic background, I need your opinion.
Do you feel you get interrupted a lot more than others?
My guess is that we tend to use a lot less filler words, since they beat it out of us during school, so we have no queue to make it clear we are still talking.

But during casual conversation they might be serving really important purposes that we don't realize right away.
