Weird request: I'm looking for good movies (especially indie) where seemingly "nothing happens" in that the story is character focused, small, emotional, bearing witness to a human being. My mind goes to Brittany Snow's recent directorial debut "Parachute." Other examples please.
My favorite iteration of this is the "hangout film." DAZED AND CONFUSED, EVERYBODY WANTS SOME, AFTER HOURS, BIG CHILL, THE BREAKFAST CLUB, EASY RIDER, ROADSIDE PROPHETS, SLC PUNK!, 200 CIGARETTES, AMERICAN GRAFFITI, MYSTERY TRAIN, DINER, LAST DAYS OF DISCO, CAN'T HARDLY WAIT, THE HOLDOVERS.
