A busy day at Final Fantasy colony— we successfully trapped Laguna’s dad (one of the last couple intact males here & a perfect copy of his son) but while there, I noticed Setzer, a young male we did several weeks ago, had severe swelling in his legs & was avoiding walking. We’re at the ER now w/him.

We don’t know yet the extent of his injuries, but I’ll update this thread as we get him seen and evaluated. No idea if he was attacked by another animal or hit by a car, or trapped in an engine, so many possibilities, but the poor boy is definitely feeling pretty bad.

He has wounds on both hind legs and a raging high fever of 106, no wonder he feels like garbage. His right hind (which he is not able to bear weight on) was so painful they weren’t able to palpate it much. He’s getting some sedation for X-rays and an IV fluid line + bloodwork.
