Just discovered a law review article about the constitutionality of sex offender registration requirements in the Epstein files and was relieved it wasn't one of mine.
(My name only shows up because I am cited in the article).
It wasn't until this moment that I even thought to search my name in the files despite having a bunch of publications about sex offenders and sexual violence that might have been of interest to Epstein. Writing about sex crimes is a weird business.
Whether you are an academic or in the media, there's no actual harm if Epstein read your writings and your name, therefore, appears in the Epstein files. But, I'm sure it feels a little icky.
