- Reposted by Conor O'MahonyI hope people understand what happened here. Yesterday in the late afternoon, Trump said that Putin had promised not to attack Ukraine in such a way that it would damage their heating. Then a few hours later, that is exactly what the Russians did in a massive attack.

- My father got this book for Christmas. By total chance, the opening pages start with a story about relatives of ours - my grandmother's first cousins - who were living a 19th Century lifestyle in late 20th Century Cork. We used to visit them once a month when I was young; it was like a time machine.

- Reposted by Conor O'MahonyICE uses extrajudicial violence and intimidation for political ends. It's unconstrained by the law, unaccountable to the public. Its crimes are endorsed at the highest levels. What does this tell us? That it's the force of paramilitary thugs all fascist movements & governments use. It is Trump’s SS.

- Reposted by Conor O'MahonyOur reporting has found that ICE sent 600 immigrant kids to detention in federal shelters in 2025. A 17-year-old was detained at a traffic stop because officers couldn’t make contact with his dad, who is deaf. Another kid ended up in a shelter after making a wrong turn:

- There's a huge spectrum at play here. It would not be accurate to say that every dodgy image of a child that Grok produces would reach the threshold of a criminal offence under existing law. But neither would it be accurate to say that none of them do. It depends on the image.
