- Just spent my first evening with Claude Code exploring agentic software development. As a manager who only coded regularly a decade ago, I wanted to dive in and finally experience what this is all about. Spoiler: I'm genuinely excited. 🧵 (1/5) #AgenticCoding #ClaudeCodeFeb 5, 2026 21:09
- One thing that clicked: treating code as materialization of intent, not the primary artifact. I'm not writing implementations - I'm building specifications (ADRs, skills, epics and tickets) that guide the AI, often in collaboration. The design becomes the deliverable. (2/5)
- I started by building the "scaffolding" first - the meta-structure that makes the whole process sustainable. Decision records, workflow patterns, development practices. Get that foundation right, and the actual code becomes almost trivial to generate. (3/5)
- In that regard: A big thanks to @hmans.dev for building Beans! His file-based ticketing system is perfect for this workflow: git-friendly, readable, and playing beautifully with how Claude Code operates. Exactly what I needed. (4/5)
- So tonight: 3 ADRs, 3 epics, 11 tickets, a working number-guessing game (this was my first BASIC exercise on the Commodore C64, so I think it fits) with tests and a small build pipeline, all tracked in git. While I'm still just scratching the surface, I can't wait for tomorrow! (5/5)
