- Oh, look. In an effort to stop abusive material from harming the wider public, it’s the poorest and most marginalized women in the world who absorb the abuse. Huh. Who knew? BTW, let’s cancel Women’s Studies departments. Nothing to see or learn there.
- Reposted by Colleen CarpenterMy actual job description is activist and here’s what I tell people in despair all the time: do not underestimate how much harm you can prevent by being just a little bit annoying.

- Reposted by Colleen Carpenterin real terms, #7 would give states leverage to put an end to surges, #8 would give states the ability to outright stop construction of new detention facilities, #1 and #6 would slow the rate at which DHS could train and deploy officers, #2 and #10 would likely shrink the pool of recruits

- Reposted by Colleen CarpenterThe ICE killings in Minneapolis evoke Selma but the day-to-day tactics in Minneapolis remind me of the Birmingham Bus Boycott: a grinding, continuous, citywide and logistically demanding effort of non-cooperation over months to break an unjust status quo.

All profits will go to the Hamline Midway Supply Hub, helping our neighbors sheltering at home. This is a pre-order. You have until Feb 20th to order this sexy beast. www.blackhartstp.com/new-products...

- I miss Paul Wellstone so, so much. He'd be proud of us.
- "In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesive—because of its diversity and not in spite of it."

- Bovino's gone but it's not over: they're ramping up. They're going to use Fort Snelling for "parking approximately 300-500 vehicles . . . a ready room space for 500-800 CBP personnel . . . access to a magazine to store munitions."
- Reposted by Colleen CarpenterExactly right. Bovino's leaving? Great, get Noem to resign. Noem resigns? Great, defund and dismantle ICE. Go after Stephen Miller too. Bring charges against ICE thugs at the state and local level. Lawsuits. New state laws restricting them. Every possible angle.

- Merriam Park vigil at Fairview and Marshall had at least 50 people, and as I walked home I passed another dozen or so at another corner. I'm assuming the same is true across the Cities, yes? I should have taken a picture. Anyone got photos to share? "We have friends everywhere"
- So how does one go about getting someone indicted by the Hague? Say Kristi Noem for example. Who do we contact? Can we request prosecution for crimes against humanity? I know the US isn't a signatory to the International Criminal Court and all, but I'd like to see her as a wanted criminal.
- Reposted by Colleen CarpenterYou have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

- Reposted by Colleen CarpenterALL MN PROTESTERS Absolutely nothing could be worse for our cause than violence and rioting. It is what ICE and Trump obviously want. Do not burn down our own city to protest invaders; they do not care; they will enjoy it. Do not do it. Do not let your fellow protesters do it.
