- Munro Day is my most favouritist day - a holiday JUST for Dal. Though, at 8:30 AM, I have been grading assignments for 2 hours. :P Time to go for a run! Learn about Munro Day, here! www.dal.ca/about/our-st...
- Reposted by Dr. Jen Frail-Gauthierthe Epstein files are really devastating because they remind me of how many girls and women miss out on professional opportunities, mentorship and careers because of how many powerful, rich and influential men only view girls and women — and interactions with them — through the lens of sex
- Reposted by Dr. Jen Frail-GauthierPeople who don’t need public transit shouldn’t be making decisions about public transit. Their lifestyle is built on getting their personal vehicle as close to their destination as possible, it’s a conflict of interest.

- I know that being an academic is not "9-5" but jeeeeepers, a last minute, high priority, job search application review is not what I need right now
- What. The. Actual. She couldn't even get her question in. He's such a disgusting moron. I can't even right now.
- Look, Facilities Management, EVERYTIME I enter the buildings, I do this, AND, EVERYONE around me is doing this. But, kicking off your feet and wiping on mats still make a mess when you have thousands of entrances per day in salty and snowy conditions.
- Reposted by Dr. Jen Frail-GauthierIs there a name for being aggressively anti-AI? Because I'm that bitch.
- Whelp my bus is stuck in the bus lane on Bayers Road.
- This snow plan detour confuses me... so, basically... it gets people at the very first stop, and then none until it reaches Young street? I mean... the affected stops are ALL of the pickup spots for this express bus?? Tempted to go down Southgate and catch it there and see what it does....

- In this video, you can hear the transit driver say "he didn't even press the friggin' lights, man" --- but they WERE lit. And, EVEN if they weren't, it's STILL a crosswalk. The number of times I have been honked at because the lights didn't WORK when pressed. Agh www.cbc.ca/player/play/...
- Reposted by Dr. Jen Frail-Gauthierstop using AI to do your research. it hallucinates too often. if you want an answer to something, post something arrogant on the appropriate subreddit. something like: "this item performs 10% better than everything else. only idiots deny this." this will bait nerds into doing your research for you.
- Hmmm sidewalk plow just went by... maybe a run is in my future? Living in an apartment building, no shovelling required, so gotta get my cardio somehow :P
- Had to cut my run short this morning, my face was frozen and my balaclava and hood were frozen stiff and couldn't cover more of my cheeks. Stay warm friends!
- Reposted by Dr. Jen Frail-Gauthier"The federal government is killing people in the streets, so sports are canceled," is the point we have reached.
- Reposted by Dr. Jen Frail-GauthierIt’s posts like this that make Canada and other countries want to do deals with China and leave the United States all alone. This is the language of an abusive ex.
- Just a wee lil jaunt. If the people of Minnesota can be out protesting in colder temps, I can surely get out for a run.

- When sitting on the bus the other day, I kept count for what I could... and NOT including work/delivery vehicles, I counted 75 single-occupant vehicles, for only 13 with more than one person. www.cbc.ca/player/play/...

- Snow day = lot of work done today!? (advising and office hours, labs are ready for NEXT week, and SEASIDE info session stuff done, and all reference letters due), AND my culinary-student son and I cleaned/re-organized 2 utensil drawers, and 2 large pull-out kitchen drawers of pots/pans/baking stuff.
- Was more of a frolic than a run, but it sure was pretty!

- I feel like I am in the minority... I despise having too many tabs open. Right now I just have 2, but my max is usually only 6-7. I get what I need from the site (or, bookmark it, or send myself the link) and close 'er up.
- I've been married for 20 years and still cannot get my husband to sit/lay down slowly. All of our furniture has been damaged from the 200+ lb "flop fall". Like, he practically cannon balls into bed or the couch every time. It's like a childhood habit he CANNOT break (that breaks!)

- It's a "two sets of outdoor gear" day... pouring rain this morning on the way to work, but a windchill in the minus double digits when I need to come home...

- It's Reference Whack-a-Mole season... two new requests came in today :P

- Whelp, when plowing through the 7 reference letters I had to write, I discovered 5 more. Good news (until the next round of deadlines Jan 30), only 1 left to do! (PS I refuse to use AI to write personal, individual, human letters... well, I refuse to use AI anyway, but especially here).

- Reposted by Dr. Jen Frail-GauthierThis is stunning. Listen to this in Philadelphia. Thousands singing “Hey-Oh, we won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.” Really listen to it.

- Reposted by Dr. Jen Frail-GauthierBREAKING: Massive Crowds of Anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis, Minnesota as we speak. The tide is turning. America is Fed Up. Americans should be fighting back against what is happening in this country. Having masked, secret police shooting people, breaking into homes and cars, is NOT normal.
- Reposted by Dr. Jen Frail-GauthierThis is so horrible and sad and maddening and tragic. But it also shows the power of cognitive biases. How could MAGA possibly think this newly released video helps their false narrative? It does the exact opposite. It highlights cruel incompetence www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
