- #Melissa underwent extreme rapid intensification over the weekend: winds +70mph in just 24hrs. Sunday→Monday, it rapidly intensified another 35mph in 24hrs. This happened over Caribbean waters 2.5°F (1.4°C) above average, conditions made 500–700x more likely by climate change.
