- The first chapter of my PhD is published! If you're interested in how bones can be buried in floods, check it out in Paleobiology! (doi:10.1017/pab.2025.10087) And if you want to see the full scale experiments we ran, I did a summary video featuring a cover of When the Levee Breaks! #Taphonomy
- Rocks laid down by rivers and their floodplains are key places to look for the fossils of ancient land animals. Water flow can move animal remains away from the places where they died before they become permanently buried.
- Reposted by Michael ChiapponeLast day of the IRATE workshop in Erlangen. See the happy faces! Looks like everybody had a good time and hopefully fruitful discussions... can't wait to see the outcomes published ^^ (no pressure at all ;))

- Squeezing in one more art piece before the end of 2024, a year after having the opportunity to do fieldwork in the Candeleros Fm of Argentina's Neuquén Basin. That trip inspired this piece, which depicts a group of titanosaurs traveling a dry interdune riverbed at sunset. #paleoart #sauropods 🦕
- Are you in the Twin Cities and wonder what dinosaurs sounded like? Come check out our exhibit at Como Conservatory where we used an instrument based on hadrosaur skulls to create an immersive soundscape in the Fern Room! Nov 18th-26th! #Hadrophone comozooconservatory.org/prehistoric-...
- Headed to Minneapolis for the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology meeting next week? Come check out my talk on Wednesday morning at 10:30am discussing some of my PhD work experimentally rethinking current methods for examining fluvial transport in the fossil record! #Taphonomy #fossils #2024SVP
- Hey y’all! I’m a PhD Candidate at the U of Minnesota in paleontology focused on experimental taphonomy in river/floodplain environments! I also enjoy doing science outreach through art, film, and music! You can find that stuff here and on YouTube at Earth Encompassed!
