The left Joe Rogan is Hasan Piker but establishment Dems hate him. There is no centrist Joe Rogan because it is impossible to be a centrist and build a slavish political fanbase because you stand for nothing, not even something atrocious.
Joe Rogan will say anything and pretend to back anyone if you give him enough money. He will pretend to have a spine if you sign that check. Centrist pundits won't even do that. Because they want to be seen as flexible. Perpetually greige.
You can't build a popular political podcast while being too afraid to say anything concrete. You better go review anime or react to songs instead. Play video games or something. Political commentary is not for you.
It's also funny that the right is dealing with a very similar problem. They cannot find a celebrity in the arts who will make them look "cool" to save their political lives. And every celebrity they try to get is dragged down to pariah status with the association. Kanye. Nicki. Kid Rock.
Centrist celebrities want NOTHING to do with them. You see how fast Luda got tf away from them? So they can only manage alliances with extremists and sell-outs. One, everybody hates a sell-out. Two, people find right-wing extremists off-putting.
