Anime Club AU taste in anime-
Crocodile: the most moeblob bullshit. Cute girls doing nothing. Cute animals doing nothing. Occasionally magical girl series. He wants stuff to be CUTE.

Shanks: the most basic shonen anime/manga. He does not want moral complexity. He wants good to be good and bad to be bad and for the heroes to win. This desire has absolutely nothing to do with his home life.
Shamrock: Does not watch anime, but Shanks isn't allowed to goes to conventions without him.
He DOES have a debilitating addiction to strategy games like Civilization and claims the decision making skills are relevant to his future as a leader.
(Also loves "child raising" sims, will not admit it.)

Buggy: likes raunchy comedies, mostly from the 90s. He makes everyone watch the equivalent of the Ghost Stories dub. He makes everyone watch the equivalent of Golden Boy.
Buggy has the best taste actually, congrats, Buggy.
Mihawk: occasionally goth shit but most of it doesn't live up to his standards. Mostly ultraviolent OVAs from the 80s. Sometimes pretentious artsy stuff that's just vibes.
I am saying he would like Belladonna of Sadness because I can have a little projection as a treat.
Doffy: not into anime as a thing but occasionally show up so he can use club meetings as an alibi.
