Lots of folks have invoked Césaire's "boomerang" metaphor recently & y'all have seen my thoughts on that and I really really LOVE what Camonghne Felix did here by turning to Césaire's surrealism instead: "We occupy the heterotopic space between survival of this world and the conjuring of the next."
