- Ludlow typesetting: pictured is a 'stick' filled with letter molds making up one line of a poem. This is inserted into a machine that fills the mold with a molten lead/tin mixture which cools into a slug which is then used to print. Meditative, very close reading, and the type is beautiful.

- Two of my grandfather's bookmarks from what (I'm told) was his favorite bookshop in NYC.
- Strange to reflect on my own participation in this cultural/commercial moment in music. I've spent most of my working life as a side-musician/engineer, and have had many conversations lately with colleagues about the difficulty of making ends meet these days. www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

- Peter Pauper Press edition of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's 'Sonnets from the Portuguese.' Beautifully illustrated by Mary Jane Gorton. Steven Heller offers some thoughts about the design/history of these Peter Pauper Press books here: www.printmag.com/daily-heller...
- Favorite thing to happen so far on bluesky: uncanny book recommendation from @jerthorp.bsky.social who recommended José Saramago's "All the Names" based on my favorite bird: Grey Catbird. The prose is very catbird-like and the book is wonderful!
- There are many things about this book cover that I love.
