There’s about to be a tidal wave of biblical scholars and theologians weighing in on this because it’s patently wrong. I’m neither of those, but my faith is strongly shaped by Matthew 25:31-46, and I am daily aghast at the pretzels people will turn themselves into to justify ignoring it.

I see, governments can do bad things, but individuals can't. So is the government some sort of unpeopled mass? Are there no individuals bounds by the Law in government? Is government like "a. i." independent of its creators?
