- My husband works in a 'non-academic' industry and was surprised to find that his work as an intern years ago was cited in a policy document. Pretty cool! Sage Policy Profiles is free and easy. Try it and you might be surprised by what you learn as well (and could get a sweet prize along the way)
- If you or anyone you know has had your research impacted by federal funding cuts and are willing to privately share your story, please DM me. Sage is hosting a 90-min paid, closed roundtable with a small group of researchers. Spaces are limited. PLEASE PASS ALONG 🙏🏻 #AcademicSky
- Where do academic librarians get industry news? The survey results from a quick survey I did last year with the support of @chashub.bsky.social are here: www.charleston-hub.com/2025/07/wher... To librarians who have thoughts in support of or opposition to what I found, would love to hear more!

- We all know that the National Academies don't wade into politics (say what you want - that is a good thing). But it's refreshing to see Marcia McNutt acknowledge that the current political environment makes science vulnerable and share what they are doing about it.
- "America can't be great without great sciences. That is where the Academies can help." In a new interview, @nasonline.org President Marcia McNutt discusses how recent federal actions are affecting the National Academies and the entire research ecosystem: buff.ly/SUTqOjm

- As a social science advocate, this is devastating - Minerva has been an exemplar for other agencies wanting to write effective policy for years. As a human and a mother who wants the world to be a safer place, this is terrifying.
