- The team behind Post Reports is utterly brilliant, truly just magnificent. I've absolutely loved working with them, and I am so stunned and heartbroken to see this important, illuminating work go dark. Please listen to their farewell. Please hire them. www.washingtonpost.com/podcasts/pos...

- Reposted by Caitlin GibsonI left The Washington Post last year, but wrote my love letter in the middle of my time there, in 2015. Everything changed, over my 1st decade there. Then everything changed again, in the decade after this was written. But there were 2 constants: the work & the people. www.mrdanzak.com/blog/10years

- Reposted by Caitlin GibsonI expected the cuts would be bad but I'm honestly stunned and sickened seeing how many great journalists the Washington Post just lost. People who nailed huge investigations, documented war zones, exposed horrific crimes, dropped all at once for failures they did not cause.

- Reposted by Caitlin GibsonA lot of the people had never been tear gassed before. I talked to someone in the center of the cloud who had never been gassed and had only been to big protests like No Kings. She said the march had felt like the exact same vibe, right up until she was gassed for the first time in her life.

- Reposted by Caitlin Gibsonthe arrest of journalists in minneapolis, including don lemon, is more evidence that the only move the administration knows how to make is to use force, and does not know how to respond when that force is met with defiance and indifference.
- Reposted by Caitlin GibsonGeorgia Fort, an independent journalist and vice president of the Minnesota NABJ chapter, was also arrested by federal agents this morning I was sent this video of agents at her door:
- Reposted by Caitlin GibsonThis isn’t about convicting Don Lemon. It’s unlikely that will happen. It’s about intimidating journalists & making them censure themselves out of fear of consequences. It’s about eroding the free press because the administration can’t afford the criticism.
- This is an absolutely exquisite piece of writing by Julie Weil about the power of stories to reach us, even in moments of immense grief, and I so hope you'll read it. It is worth your time. Sharing with a gift link. wapo.st/3OafdAa

- Reposted by Caitlin GibsonFilming ICE is an act of journalism. Cell phone footage is vital source material for reporters who can’t be everywhere at once. Shooting, killing and other targeting of those documenting news is an attack on press freedom and all else that's good in the world.
