- The schedule for BSides Reykjavik 2026 is live at cfp.bsidesreykjavik.com/2026/schedule/ Other details at bsidesreykjavik.com. Remember tickets are still available both for the workshops and the conference.
- A surprisingly large percentage (like around 50%) of accepted talks aren't confirming their acceptance. Either no response or "sorry, not going to be able to travel." If you submitted a talk, please check the status at cfp.bsidesreykjavik.com/2026/me/subm...
- Please join us in welcoming and thanking Palo Alto Networks as this year's Gold sponsor. Words can not adequately express our gratitude. They are clearly very invested in supporting the Icelandic cybersecurity community and want to ensure it is informed and well educated.
- We are just waiting for speakers to confirm their acceptance before we release the schedule for our 2026 conference. So if you submitted a talk, please check your inbox and get back to us ASAP. If you haven't heard from us one way or another, you are either an alternative or the email got lost.
- First round of CFPs acceptance emails have gone out, please get back to us ASAP on your confirmation acceptance so we can finalize the schedule and get it published. BTW tickets continue to fly out, have you secured your ticket yet? bsidesreykjavik.com/events/list/
- As you are snapping up tickets to the conference like hotcakes, don't forget about the workshop the day before. The fabulous Susanne (Zuzana) BITTER and Chris Clarkson lead you through Breaking the Chain: Threat Modelling Supply Chain Risks and Vulnerabilities.
- In less than 24 hours, we have sold 27% of available tickets. If this pace keeps up, we'll sell out in no time. So make sure you get your tickets early. This could be the first year we sell out. If that happens, we'll try to negotiate with the venue to increase the number of available seats
- The moment you have all been waiting for, the tickets to our 2026 conference and workshops are live. Go to bsidesreykjavik.com/events/list/ to secure your ticket.
- Please join us in thanking Syndis for their contribution to our 2026 conference as a silver sponsor. It is clear that they care about the Cybersecurity community and want to enable knowledge sharing within it. Be like Syndis and sponsor us to make this year's conference the best one yet.

- We love our sponsors. Both Darknet ehf and @oruggtnet.is have signed up as silver-level sponsors. We are beyond grateful for their support. If you want to join their ranks, check out bsidesreykjavik.com/sponsorship-... and get in touch.
- There was an issue with the payment links on our donation page bsidesreykjavik.com/sponsorship-... that Darknet ehf brought to our attention, for which we are very grateful. This has now been fixed, and you should now be able to make donations using credit cards. Bank transfer always works, though
- Our payment process believes they have fixed the period issue with our ticketing site. Apparently, they found an issue with how our account was configured regarding Mastercard acceptance and fixed it. It should be safe to order your tickets now. bsidesreykjavik.com/events/list/
- As you are grabbing your tickets for our two day conference in a couple of months note that each of the workshops requires their own ticket, in addition to the conference ticket. bsidesreykjavik.com/events/list/
- We have not been able to pin down the reason behind these random unexplained payment failures in our systems during our testing. We've decided though to open up ticket sales to everyone. So go ahead and get your tickets, if you get any issues, please send an email to info@bsidesreykjavik.com
