- A real loss to our country.
- My cloning worked!

- Bottled my smoked habanero #hotsauce that I started fermenting back in September, and I got a fresh batch of #sauerkraut started.
- Final #brewday of 2025 is in the bag. This is my annual teaching beer that I ferment with 6 different yeasts, which are then used as aroma samples in my course on industrial fermentation. A fun way to explore yeast biochemistry! This year I'm using a Czech style pilsner as the base beer.
- Did I do this right? #icestorm
- Reposted by 🍁 Bryan Heit, PhD 🍁Come work with us. Huge strengths in MRI, neuroscience and musculoskeletal health and their intersections such as pain, child development or ageing. Preclinical and clinical research and translation are also big opportunities. Shoot me a note if you have questions.
- 🚀 Launched! Here’s our call for applicants to the Canada Impact+ Research Chairs Program at @westernu.ca. This is a remarkable opportunity for us to recruit outstanding scholars who are currently working internationally: www.uwo.ca/research/can...

- It's the most wonderful time of the year...by which I mean it's the time of year when my brewing club does our big advent exchange. I've been under the weather, so I'm playing catch-up, but here's beer #1 - an abbey-inspired winter ale 🎄 🍺🍻 🎁
- One of North America's best known brewing schools is moving from Chicago to Montreal! Bienvenue au Canada! blockclubchicago.org/2025/11/21/o...
- We had a great fall crash course on fluorescence microscopy. Thank you to all our participants and instructors.
- Day 1 of the Fall Crash Course on Fluorescence Microscopy is nearly done. We've had a great start, lots of questions, and are ramping up for tomorrow! #microscopy #fluorescence
- Registration closes Friday at noon! Are you in South-Western Ontario and interested in fluorescence microscopy? If so, we are offering a 2-day course on designing, implementing and analysing microscopy experiments. Visit our website for more information: micrographiauwo.ca/cc2025/ #microscopy

- This is insane. 13 years ago we bought a million dollar #microscope to do this type of super-resolution imaging. Today, all you need is a smartphone and a few hundred bucks of off-the-shelf components 🤯 www.nature.com/articles/s41...
- ✅ Mullet ✅ Skates ✅ Padding ✅ Uniform (slightly big) ✅ New stick Time for some 🏒 (also, it's 33°C today for some reason)
- My 10 y/o officially has a mullet. And I'm afraid to say that it is glorious.

- #Micorscopy community, does anyone know where I can order this type of bottle from? Or even what the proper name is for them?
- I'm excited to announce my labs newest paper in which we identify GATA2 as a driver of a stem cell-like phenotype of atherosclerotic plaque macrophages which promote the development of disease. #macrophages #atheroscerlosis doi.org/10.1093/jleu...
- Score! 🍄
- Some things never change. My son has joined his first 🏒 team (along with 2 of his friends) and has gotten his first jock strap...so just like when I was a kid, the first thing the three of them did was see how hard they could kick eachother in the crotch.

- This is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone know of a source for the OT-IIZ T cell hybridoma (immortalized OT-II T cells)? I've been unable to find a cell repository that carries it. #Immunosky
- Time to get this long weekend started!
