- February book is ‘Miracles and Wonder’ by Elaine Pagels. The subject matter interests me, her writing is compelling, and, if that weren’t enough, the Paul Simon ‘Boy in the Bubble’ reference amused me.

- It’s so cold! I could turn up the thermostat but spendy light bills offend my odd frugalities. 🫢
- This year I aspire to read at least one book each month. I’m off to an inauspicious start. Yesterday I grabbed the apparently most approachable book on my list then got started. Ruth Reichl is a good writer. I enjoyed every moment of The Paris Novel.

- I know I am ridiculous, just to get that out of the way. Okay, so, most cats are covered in some quantity of fur of some length. Fur is insulation. So, why are so many cats heat-seeking maniacs?
- I simply adore raspberry, Brie, and apricot season yet also appreciate, financially and otherwise, pear and Stilton season.

- Okay, so, I have been making a concerted effort to say the fuck-word less frequently. Well, I was unpleasantly surprised and a 'fuck' slipped out sort of under my breath but audible to those near. So, reflexively put hand over my mouth, as if it wasn't too late, said 'sorry' and blushed furiously.
- Boston proper will prolly just get cold foggy rain, as usual. Might be worthwhile stocking up any way - if you have the ingredients you can make French toast.
