We should take weapons of war away from state, local and federal law enforcement, demilitarize police with the possible exception of SWAT teams. We should also take weapons of war from civilians, including assault weapons and high capacity magazines, so that the police don’t need to militarize.

Actual police should carry a sidearm in this nation of 400 million guns. I seriously believe this. However, ICE are typically untrained, violent hicks that should not be outfitted for war. Gear including plate carriers , M4 combat rifles, 30 rnd mags, etc... It's insane.
