I received a copy of Mom's latest will. Specific gifts to the grandkids, no mention at all of the step grandkids. Gifts to her late bf's son, her brother & me in recognition of past support & assistance. All else split evenly between her six kids (or surviving spouses thereof).
Jan 8, 2026 21:56I'm planning to decline any gifts from her estate: I don't need the money, and I'd prefer she use it while alive rather than give it away after death.
It's also entirely possible she'll live another 10-15 years and will have a new will written then. I'm fine either way.
