- State vaccine requirements for school entry are absolutely essential if we have any hope of maintaining herd immunity. It is madness for states to repeal these requirements. And vaccine exemptions should not be permitted unless for a documented medical contraindication.
- As a school nurse I found hesitant parents, especially those who were getting peer/family pressure to refuse, appreciated the mandate. It gives a good reason to vaccinate that’s hard for the opponents to overcome.

- As long as administrations worry more about “patient satisfaction” scores than protecting nurses the situation will not change. Healthcare agencies need to start firing patients who berate or threaten staff, and ignore the one-star reviews by these terrible people.

- Every other law enforcement officer from the local to federal level is unmasked and has their name visible. If ICE needs masking it’s because their actions are so shameful they’re afraid of being identified. Fear of doxing is a sign of shame.
