- Go Fernando Alonso But also George Russell on a championship run is genuinely offensive to me.
- Impossible to argue with the facts here.
- Reposted by Brenna Clarke GrayIt is really infuriating to see how misogyny really does unite men across the sociopolitical spectrum. And, in so far as the Epstein files go, they sort women into two categories: fuckable or irrelevant. When they near a hint of accountability they complain about not being able to make women prey.
- Hey, my talk on open education and authoritarianism from #OpenEd25 is up on YouTube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ta4...
- I started sabbaticast.brennaclarkegray.ca this month as a way to track and report out on my sabbatical in the open, because I think open scholarship helps all of us who spend a lot of time thinking, "Am I doing this right?"

- I finally caught up on all the crosswords I didn’t finish while I was working on The Big One.
- There’s a lot to be said for being a small potatoes academic who would never have any reason to be introduced to rich pedophiles. Got enough run of the mill middle class pervs to ignore, last thing I need is a violent abuser who can fund something or whatever.
- Reposted by Brenna Clarke GraySince I know at least one academic who appears in the Epstein files is reading my posts and maybe there are others: You did things you should not have done. All you can do now is take seriously apologizing and making amends to the victims, whose perpetrator(s) you cozied up to.

- Groundhog Day was my dad’s favourite holiday, because he hated gift giving holidays and also winter. It’s still weird, 3.5 years on, to not wake up to a flurry of emails with him forwarding every prediction going. Anyway, Happy Groundhog Day. May your local marmots have an overcast morning.

- I know I wouldn’t survive in a non-socialized medicine country because I nearly threw down at the pharmacy when they told me I had to pay $37 for the colonoscopy prep solution. Like I am sorry but how dare you. Between this and the parking I will be out tens of dollars.
- For Plug and Play week Thing 1 covered the house in homemade motivational posters.
- No YOU let your eight-year-old stay up too late so you could read Rime of the Ancient Mariner together and compare it to the Wings of Fire book where Albatross the Dragon gets killed at a party and then comes back to life to haunt the Seawings.
- Just read an absolutely bizarre Bluesky conversation like the window sicko of meme lore where one of the people kept going on and on about how guilty they feel about using AI because they know it tells children to kill themselves and boils the ocean and is built on theft. They really feel guilt!
- I wouldn’t touch Dominos before I was a mom but at this stage of my life there is a lot to be said for cheap, consistent, trackable delivery.
- Reposted by Brenna Clarke GrayWhen they say Me Too "went too far," they mean "got too close."
- This is the saddest celebrity death in ages, but this video is a joy.
- A new post today about how I see my research area's complicity in the horrors, and how I keep muddling through when it feels like a losing battle.
- I really do love this.
- Obviously this is a shitty job but also… we’re gonna find out who goes for it. Just. You know. X is pretty leaky. We always find out.
- I came for the bread but I stayed for the circuses.
- Tomorrow is “dress as a book character” day at the elementary school so if you’re wondering how to make a Cricket from Wings of Fire costume with only 14 gauge gold wire, clearance Christmas ribbon, and a hairband… in about three hours… I can tell you.
