- First book finished in 2026: Fleischerei by @miseryvulture.bsky.social. Wonderfully lacerating! I was especially struck by how its story of obsession, trauma and erotic butchery unfolds amid the scars and ghosts of fascism, buried mass graves and the lingering smell of burned flesh

- Last book finished in 2025: Solenoid by Mircea Cǎrtǎrescu, which I've been reading in fits and starts for a long time, accelerating over the last week or so. Tremendous IMO, though recommended only if the phrase "gnostic surrealist Knausgaard" doesn't make you want to jump out a window
