In the #UNEA7 opening assembly, we are hearing from observers' major groups. #Children & #youth called on sufficient space for stakeholder intervention, and on governments to fulfill their commitment to current and future generations.

#Farmers at #UNEA7 emphasized the need for countries to deliver decisions rooted in justice, equity, and lived realities. "A resilient planet is impossible without resilient farmers."

NGO Major group, @coare stated: "True multilateralism is the art of partnership of co-creation where all stakeholders and rights holders, including major groups, create common solutions to common problems. We have a legitimate role to play, and these spaces must be respected."

#IndigenousPeoples major group emphasized: It is essential that IPs and our knowledge system (…) are leading in all decisions affecting our ancestral territories (...) You must choose to protect the collective health of our people and planet over corporate interest and profit."
