Rage donations to abortion funds have waned, leading to the emergence of a new horrific phenomenon that reproductive justice organizers and debt-abolitionists are calling "Abortion Debt." In a new academic article for South Atlantic Quarterly, I write about its origins — and pathways to resistance.

I'm doing a few things here: 1. Explain abortion debt + ground it in racialized/gendered historical context. 2. Situate 'abortion debt' in a longer lineage of neoliberalism expanding its territory by financializing social reproduction + using (mostly) women's bodies as sites of expropriation.
