- We set up a survey experiment with hypothetical politicians for which their gender (male vs. female) and their policy position (outspoken leftist or outspoken rightist) were manipulated as between-group factors 🧪(2/5)
- ✅ We do find clear confirmation that citizens have more negative feelings towards other-minded politicians (than twds like-minded ones) (3/5)
- ❌ We do NOT find a significant moderating effect for citizens and politicians having a different gender: men are not more negative twds other-minded women politicians (than twds other-minded men) ❌ Nor for politicians engaging in counter-stereotypical issues, e.g. women in defence politics (4/5)
