when Amadou Diallo was shot at 41 times & the cops were acquitted, one of the chants we yelled when we marched around the Department of Justice was "police training 101, it's a wallet not a gun"

I have been thinking all day about the number of times unarmed Black people were killed by police on the pretext that their cell phone looked like a gun. And people would say “oh but you just don‘t know what the truth is.” Well here it is.
