- For those who want to learn more about Amari Williams, here's my feature on him from over the summer. Learn about his protective nature, the benefits of his background outside of basketball, what the Celtics emphasize to him, his mentor's message when he got drafted, and more. Story ⬇️
- Minott came in and quickly carved out a place in the starting lineup. At the time, it looked like a certainty he would get the chance to play alongside Jayson Tatum whenever the latter returned. Unfortunately, he fell out of the rotation and...1/2
- Love to see Amari Williams get his deal converted. He has done everything right since joining the team. Even with the expected growing pains, overall, he has impressed when given opportunities. Celtics' depth chart at center now features Queta, Garza, Vucevic, & Williams on a standard deal.
- The Celtics have officially announced their trade for Nikola Vucevic. He is not getting rerouted.
- The Celtics now have an open roster spot to fill. Every avenue remains open until the trade deadline ends, but Ron Harper Jr. just made a compelling case for converting his deal to a standard contract.
- No surprise to see Boucher get traded by the deadline. Helps the Celtics save money. He was on a $2.2M contract.
- The Celtics play the Warriors in SF on Feb. 19. We never got the chance to speak with Porzingis while he was with the Hawks. Perhaps we will in the Bay.
- Ron Harper Jr. on his put-back dunk: “My Dad told me I was looking like him out there; let’s tone that down.” 😂😂 🎥: @nbcsceltics.bsky.social
- Ron Harper Jr. after his first-career start and registering 11 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and guarding Kevin Durant, who finished with 15 points on 11 shots: “Joe makes a heavy emphasis that everybody’s gonna get their shot, so stay ready and be ready.” 🎥: @nbcsceltics.bsky.social

- Derrick White in the second half: 5/10 4/6 from beyond the arc 14 points 0 turnovers He has 28 points total. Absolutely on fire.
- The Celtics are starting Ron Harper Jr. and going double-big to open tonight’s game against the Rockets. It’s Harper’s first-career start. Derrick White Ron Harper Jr. Baylor Scheierman Neemias Queta Luka Garza Out: Brown, Hauser, Boucher, Simons, Tatum
- From thoughts related to Jayson Tatum and Nikola Vucevic to TPE talk and bidding farewell to Anfernee Simons, here are my leftover musings from Tuesday's Celtics trade. hardwoodhoudini.com/celtics-anfe...
- The Celtics have now officially ruled Jaylen Brown out for tonight's game against the Rockets.
- Multiple starters on Celtics’ injury report for their game vs. Rockets on second half of a b2b. Boucher - Personal Reasons - OUT Brown - Left Hamstring Tightness, Right Knee Soreness - DOUBTFUL Hauser - Right Thumb Strain - OUT Simons - Personal Reasons - OUT Tatum - Right Achilles Repair - OUT
- Payton Pritchard reiterates that he has no issue with coming off the bench. He said his conversation about it with Joe Mazzulla was “real simple.” “It just makes the most sense for our team.” 🎥: @nbcsceltics.bsky.social
- Jaylen Brown now has six games this season with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds. That is tied for the fifth-most in the NBA.
- Awesome to see Payton Pritchard barbecue the Mavs' defense in his first game off the bench this season. 26 points 60% shooting 7 assists 2 turnovers 4 rebounds Pritchard made a living inside the paint, where he's excellent playing off of two feet.
- Just an awesome third quarter from Luka Garza: 3/3 from beyond the arc 3 offensive rebounds 1 steal 1 charge drawn
- Pritchard has always said he's fine with coming off the bench. Still, I feel for him. Should Tatum return this season, it's what is best for the team based on their roster construction. However, he proved what was already known, which is that he's a starting-caliber player.
- With Anfernee Simons on his way out, Payton Pritchard returns to the role of sixth man. Tonight's Celtics starters: Derrick White Baylor Scheierman Jaylen Brown Sam Hauser Neemias Queta
- I broke down why the Celtics decided to trade Anfernee Simons for Nikola Vucevic, what they prioritized, and the Jayson Tatum-related questions that come with making this move. hardwoodhoudini.com/celtics-take...
- That moves the Celtics below the first apron. They're still above the tax by $5.8M. I hate to see Simons go, especially in a financially-driven move. He did everything right and deservedly earned praise from all corners of the organization. 1/2
- This time, Jaylen Brown wins Eastern Conference Player of the Month. Brown averaged 29.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in January. He helped the Celtics go 10-6. 📸: NBA Communications on X
- The Celtics have officially ruled Chris Boucher out for tonight’s game.
- The Celtics added Chris Boucher to their injury report for tonight’s game against the Mavericks. Chris Boucher - Personal Reasons - QUESTIONABLE Jayson Tatum - Right Achilles Repair - OUT
- Jayson Tatum is the only player on the Celtics’ injury report ahead of tomorrow’s game against Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks.
- ICYMI: From Doug Christie, who mentored a young Neemias Queta, to Keon Ellis, who praised one aspect in particular about his former teammate's journey, those with him on the Kings shared what stands out about the ascent of the Celtics starting center. - Jaylen Brown when asked by @johnkaralis.com if he thinks about his legacy in Boston: “For sure…On top of winning…how you affected the community. Two things that I take pride in, being able to win basketball games, win a championship, hopefully more, and…affect my community in a positive way.”
- Jaylen Brown also connected with Bill Russell’s daughter, @karenkrussell.bsky.social , who he says it was “great to see” and have a conversation with after today’s game.

- When asked about an NBA pioneer who has influenced him, Jaylen Brown cites the impact Bill Russell has had on how Brown uses his platform. “His legacy here in Boston, everything that he stood for, his experiences as well, have contributed to how I use my platform in 2026.”
- More from Jaylen Brown on this: “It's pretty cool to see people that may have gotten lost in time…be able to have their moment. So I think that's pretty cool. “But we also got up and coming pioneers, so I would love to see the NBA celebrate those as well. We don't have to wait 50 years.”
- Jaylen Brown to @vincegoodwill.bsky.social on the NBA taking steps to have something like a Pioneers Day: “It's cool being able to pay homage to the pioneers of the past. I also think there's pioneers of this generation that we probably should put more of an emphasis on.”

- Jaylen Brown on recently meeting first Celtic to wear No. 7, Emmette Bryant: “Another example of being able to meet someone who came before…[To] be able to connect with people that came before gives you information, gives you wisdom, so as you move forward, you know exactly what you need to do.”
- With history being one of Jaylen Brown’s favorite subjects, he discusses familiarizing himself with the history of the Celtics: “It’s an honor to continue that.”
- Jaylen Brown when asked for his thoughts on the NBA’s inaugural Pioneers Day: “It was pretty cool to be able to pay homage to people of the past…To know where you’re going, you’ve got to know where you came from.”
- “They get pissed off at me when I don’t shoot the ball sometimes.” Anfernee Simons on naturally preferring to feel the game out and the Celtics, including Joe Mazzulla, getting on him at times when he passes up shots.
- Anfernee Simons on a night he had 27 points in a Celtics win over the Bucks: “Yeah, I got going, but I think our defense stepped up, which helped our offense.”
- Asked Anfernee Simons about Jordan Walsh’s impact on a night he had five offensive rebounds and had a well-rounded performance in the Celtics’ win over the Bucks. His answer ⬇️
- After a game where Jordan Walsh had a significant impact with his offensive rebounding, the ability to cut off drives on defense, and showed flashes as a passer, I asked Joe Mazzulla about Walsh’s growth and what stands out to him about his development. His answer ⬇️
- The Celtics beat the Bucks 107-79. It's the fewest points Boston has allowed this season. The previous mark was 90.
- The Celtics outscored the Bucks 30-16 in the second frame. That's one point off the fewest Boston has allowed in a quarter. They lead 56-42 at halftime.
- An underrated skill of Neemias Queta's is his ability to get open when he's working in the dunker spot or on the block. That time, he makes himself available to Jordan Walsh on the latter's baseline drive and it leads to Queta getting two points on a floater.
